The catalogue raisonné will transform the existing literature about Craigie Aitchison and consolidate his legacy as an important British artist of the twentieth century. It is estimated that he produced around 2,000 oil paintings, and this authoritative publication will be a fully-illustrated record of those paintings that provides comprehensive provenance, exhibition history and literature references.

Collectors, organisations and members of the public are invited to share information about the current whereabouts and current or historic ownership of paintings by Craigie Aitchison. This information will support the preparation of the catalogue raisonné of his paintings.
